The Colonialisation of Lived Experience - Stitched Panel
The Colonialisation of Lived Experience - Stitched Panel

Are you sick?

Great, then come and talk to us.

Are you, what we would call ''hard to reach''?

Great, then come and talk to us?

Not because we will make it better in any way,

Or help to ease your pain.

But we need to extract your story,

for our own financial gain.

Spill your guts to me,

Cut yourself open.

Expose your wounds.

Let us rape and pillage your marginalisation.

In order to keep our jobs.

I'll walk away, leaving you sore, bruised, and hurting.

In the same places and spaces,

That gave you the wounds in the first place.

Nothing changed, just a stream of new faces.

No solutions to your wounding,

No adjustments to be made.

You see, I need your data and knowledge.

In order to get paid.

Your data and knowledge feed the beast.

That soothes our collective conscious

We've reached out to the oppressed and marginalised.

Box ticked, it's all a nonsense.
